Staff Picks: Discover Our Favourites from Stone & Water World's New Arrivals

Here at Stone & Water World, every piece has a journey, a story waiting to be told. Last year, we finally got to catch up with our supplier in Indonesia – a long overdue trip! She showed us her home turf in Yogyakarta, and we spent a fantastic four days exploring.

Yogyakarta, with its vibrant culture and rich history, did not disappoint. We wandered through a maze of factories and handicraft stores, each turn revealing more of the region's artistry. We met artisans whose hands shape the extraordinary, whose spirit is woven into every creation, and who are quietly making waves far beyond their local markets.

Originally, we thought we'd stick to the familiar—garden sculptures, water features, the usual. But how could we resist the Bali and Yogyakarta's handicrafts once we were there, witnessing the magic firsthand? The dedication, and hours of meticulous work were all there, in every piece we encountered.

So, what we've brought back is a departure from our norm. It's a collection that captures the essence of Indonesia, of the artisans' dedication and the stories they tell through their work.

To showcase this collection, we’ve asked our staff members at Stone & Water World Mt Wellington & Albany to select a few of their favourites and let us know what they like about them. We hope you enjoy!
