The Umbrella Palm (Cyperus Alternifolius) is an attractive, clump forming plant with rushy green arching leaves and tiny yellow flowers. Strong, upright stems are topped with umbrella like spokes. It's a low-maintenance houseplant that will make an excellent addition to your pond - all they need is adequate lighting and copious amounts of watering. This plant will thrive in consistently wet or damp settings, in swampy areas and areas around ponds, lakes, streams, and containers placed into shallow water.
