Nelumbo Nucifera
Nulumbo Nucifera is a marignal aquatic perennial that forms large upward-cupped leaves and scented flowers. It has been in cultivation for over 30,000 years for its ornamental value, medicinal uses, as well as its cultural value as a symbol of purity, beauty and divinity. Lotus' will handle some shade, especially in warmer climates, but to grow and bloom their best they prefer full sunlight. Most Lotus plants are low maintenance and reward their gardeners with fragrant and attractive blossoms from early summer until late autumn.
