Lemon Bacopa (Bacopa Caroliniana)
Description
Bacopa Caroliniana
Bacopa Caroliniana is a creeping or floating perennial wildflower which forms thick succulent leaves that give off a strong lemon scent when crushed, hence the common name 'lemon bacopa'. This fast-growing plant also boasts small blue, lavender or white flowers that attract a variety of small pollinators. Lemon bacopa naturally occurs on coastal shores, tidal muds, marshes and wetlands so is a good option for stream or pond areas, water gardens, containers and boggy areas, and can be grown above the surface of the water or fully submerged to help oxygenate the water.
